Michael Philip "Mike" McDougald, 62, of Grand Prairie, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Medical City of Arlington. Born May 8, 1958 in Rome, Georgia, he is the son of the late James Haley McDougald and Elizabeth Claire Dougherty McDougald. He graduated from Wichita State University. A United States Navy veteran of Desert Storm, he was an aerospace engineer before his retirement. He was a member of St. Michael, the Archangel Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Preceded in death by his parents, a brother James Thomas McDougald, his wife Janet and son Jeremy Leedom, he is survived by three daughters, Amanda Joyce and husband Charlie of Florida, Courtney McDougald and Napoleon Awunglefac of Wichita, Kansas, and Katie McDougald of Wichita, Kansas; a son, Michael McDougald and wife Brittany of Wichita, Kansas; siblings, Mary Long and husband Tommie of Grand Prairie, Timothy McDougald and wife Terri of Augusta, Kansas, Bette Faye Tamang of Wichita, Kansas, Patricia Mansfield and husband Greg of Little Elm, Texas and John McDougald and wife Joy of Tyler; and five grandchildren, Chasity McDougald, Carson McDougald, Chase Awunglefac, Kyleigh McDougald and Brycen McDougald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church, 1012 E. Belmont Avenue, Augusta, KS. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery 1640 N. Maize Road, Wichita, Kansas.
