MICAELA MICKIE PUENTES, age 89, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at an Irving hospital. Born March 1, 1921, she was the daughter of Segundo Galvez and Josefa Puentes. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe R. Puentes, they married April 19, 1937; and by a grandson, Ray Ramos, she is survived by her daughter, Mary; son, John and his wife, Bea; 2 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 5 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and brother, Bernardo. Viewing for friends to begin at 9:00 a.m., Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 31 at St. Lukes Catholic Church in Irving, where she was a member. Burial to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
