Melba Jean Upton-Turnbo, 77, passed away on April 29, 2013 at her home in Irving, Texas. She was born on May 22nd in Wichita, Kansas to Kenneth and Pearl Dalton. Melba grew up in Wichita graduating from East High School in 1954. After high school, she married and had three children. She is survived by her present husband, Charles Turnbo; her children, Steven Lynn Upton, Susan Blickenstaff, both of Kansas and Diana Upton of Texas. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Melba's nieces and nephews; and other relatives. Melba was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cartha Calhoun of Kansas. A memorial service will be held at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel at 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving at 3:30 p.m., Monday, May 6th. The family will be greeting friends and relatives.
