Mary Dell Trapnell, age 83, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Born in Statesboro, Georgia on December 7, 1927 to Jarvin and Mary Alice Shuman, she met the love of her life Joe Arnold Trapnell; in marriage they shared the journey of life until his passing November 11, 1993. She is additionally preceded by her son, Joe A Trapnell, forever Little Joe". Mary is survived by brothers L.J. and Albert Shuman; sons and their spouses, Britt and Bobbie Trapnell, Wade and Michelle Trapnell; grandchildren, Bradley and Joe Trapnell; great grandchildren Alyssa Arredondo and Hayden Trapnell. A devoted Christian, she will be remembered for razor-sharp wit and old Georgia sayings, mastery of crossword puzzles and out-of-this-world Christmas feasts, but above all as a pillar of strength for her family, and simply, Grandma. She is now eternally united with Joe in happiness, and forever remembered in our hearts with joy. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24 at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas Texas.
