Mary "Kay" Skinner was born October 11, 1942 in Hamilton Ohio to William and Jane Quinn. Kay grew up in Hamilton where she was a cheerleader and the Homecoming Queen at Taft High School. After graduation, she went to work for Braniff Airlines as a flight attendant. While working for Braniff, Kay met her husband of 58 years, Charles Skinner. After they wed, they moved to Irving, TX and raised their three boys.
Kay began her second career when the boys were older. She worked for Mayor Folsom of Dallas, Curtis Mathis and then spent the last years of her career as a paralegal for Verizon. After retirement, Chuck and Kay moved to Cedar Creek Lake where they enjoyed many years on the lake with their boys and grandchildren. After twenty years of living on the lake, they eventually moved back to the metroplex and settled in Flower Mound to be closer to family.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, beloved son, Matthew Skinner, and her husband Charles Skinner. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Christopher(Kathi) Skinner of Flower Mound, Jason (Claudia) Skinner of Keller and her grandsons Jake, Sam and Jordan Beckett and bonus grandsons, Alex and Rene. She is also survived by her brothers Dick Quinn and Jack Heitsman and her sister Judy Nelson.
