Age 85, formerly of San Antonio, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Irving, Texas. Born December 21, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois, Mary was preceded in death by beloved husband, William E. Royal, parents John L. Hunter and Florence Miller Hunter and a brother, John L. Hunter, Jr. Survived by: son and daughter-in-law John and Sharon Royal of Connecticut, daughter and son-in-law Pat and Larry Nicks of Coppell, Texas, brother and sister-in-law Don and Dee Hunter of Colorado; grandchildren Samantha Muse, Toby Park and David Redman. As a proud military wife and a 30-year Air Force civil service employee, Mary lived all over the world. Her sense of humor, smile and loving nature will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Visitation 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 28, at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home in Irving. Burial 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, June 29 at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at Hackberry Creek Church at Noon.
