Mary Ann Rembert, 79, went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 28, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by husband of 53 years, Dr. Franklin C. Rembert, Jr., daughter Dr. Melanie Rembert Sorrell, and husband Charles Vernon Sorrell and preceded in death by her daughter, Melinda Rembert Wells, and parents Lindsay Comfort Poindexter and Mary Jeannette Lark Poindexter. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Park Cities Baptist Church Ellis Chapel on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 3:00 pm, where Mary Ann enjoyed the fellowship of many wonderful friends. A graveside burial in Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to Park Cities Baptist Church with a notation for the "Floyds Faithfuls" Sunday School Class.
