Mary Munoz, 85, of Irving passed away on May 25, 2019 at Northgate Plaza Nursing Home. She was born April 9, 1934 in Hillsboro, Texas to Augustin and Rita Maldonado. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. Mary moved to Dallas after graduation to seek employment and met the man who was to be her husband, Joe Munoz. They were married until his death on August 20, 2004. She and Joe moved to Irving in the 1960s. Mary worked as a secretary for a number of years. Mary is also preceded in death by her siblings; Edna Aldaco, Christine Villanueva, Augustin Maldonado Jr., Rudy Maldonado, Ernestine Olivas and Frank Maldonado. She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Her favorite things to do were working crossword puzzles, maintaining her roses and watching football games, particularly the Dallas Cowboys. She always had a sweet smile and a quite disposition and very soft spoken. She will be missed by all who love her. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062.
