Mary N. Jackson, 80, of Granbury, formerly a resident of Irving for over 50 years, died Thursday, February 11, 2021 in a Granbury care center. Born June 22, 1940 in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Columbus Tillman Phillips and Bertha Easterling Phillips. She worked as a custom decorator for J. C. Penneys for thirty years. Preceded in death by her husband Vernon Leo Jackson in 1968; a daughter Mary Sue Just; a son, Vernon "Leo" Jackson, Jr.; and grandson, James Jackson, she is survived by a son Olen Jackson of Springtown, Texas; a daughter Denise Hernandez and husband Gene of Granbury, Texas; son-in-law Walt Just of Flower Mound; ten grandchildren, Olen Jackson, Jr., Jason Jackson, Audie Downey, Cory Jackson, Cassie Boston, Dawn Perales, Keri Butler, Amanda Hogan, Marina Menchaca, and Crystal Schulte; and twenty-seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E.
