"Mary Annette (Louviere) Hyde, born November 18, 1949 in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed at age 72 on Sunday February 27, 2022. Mary was the daughter of the late Melvin and Linda Louviere. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years William Ronald Hyde in December 2017. Survivors include her daughter Audrey Hyde, her son Jeremy Hyde and his wife Terrie Hyde, her brothers Wayne Louviere, Ason Louviere and Demel Louviere, and her loving companion and life partner Darwin Slaughter. She is likewise held in the hearts of her many faithful and loving friends. Mary was an avid reader, a talented artist & crafter, a poet and skillfully inspired writer, a brilliant mind and a sophisticated eclectic soul. She also just 'might' have held the record for 'most library cards' in Texas. She enjoyed exploring cemetery's, quilt shops, and small adventures along the "Blue Highways'". She was considered generous, witty, kind and strong hearted. She was loved by many, appreciated by more and will be sorely missed by all." A memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving 75062. SERVICES
