MARY ELLEN DONNELLY, age 84, co-founder of Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home in Irving, died Friday, January 6, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born June 14, 1927 in Marshall, Texas, she was the daughter of Jackson and Mary Bibb Porter. She and her husband A. M. Donnelly, Sr. established Colonial Funeral Home in Irving in 1963. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer and the Daughters of the King. Preceded in death by her husband in 2000, she is survived by sons, A. M. Mickey Donnelly of Irving, Robert P. Donnelly and wife Dana of Denton; daughter, Diane MacClure of Louisiana; grandchildren, Mike Donnelly of Louisiana, Sydney Carr of Virginia, and Robert S. Donnelly of Denton; and great grandchildren, Savannah, Addie Grace, Kaylin, and Cole. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2:00 4:00 p.m. Sunday. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 2700 Warren Circle in Irving. Burial will be at Moores Memorial Gardens in Arlington.
