Martha Elizabeth Lane, age 81, passed away at her home in Irving, Texas on October 5, 2018. The only child of Mary Elizabeth (Yates) and Briggs William Hopson, Martha was born March 25, 1937 in Plainview, TX. A longtime resident of Amarillo, she was a social worker for over thirty years with the Texas State Commission for the Blind where she retired before moving to Irving. Martha is preceded in death by her daughter Nicki Crawford and a grandson Joel Crawford. She is survived by two daughters, Charisse Rivers and husband Barry of Irving and Joan French and husband James of Spokane, WA; and son Ricki Barnett and wife Lisa of Spring, Texas. Martha also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home in Irving, TX on Saturday, Oct. 27th at 3:00 p.m. If desired, donations can be made in Marthas name to the Parkinsons Foundation.
