Mark Anthony Smith was born on November 16th, 1967 to Caroline Stroud (Springfield) and Harold Smith in Irving, Texas. He was the youngest of four, Joe Melvin, Paul Melvin, and Linda Ramirez. He had three sons- Daniel Zachary Kouns (1984), Jered Jonathan Whitten (1988), and Anthony Lynn Smith (1991). He has 6 grandchildren (Eva Marie Flores, Kevin Whitten, Andreas Whitten, Savannah Marie Smith, Amelia Ruth Kouns, and Isabella Whitten). He loved being a grandfather and would tell everyone who would listen about them. He also loved his Harley and often described riding as his therapy sessions. When he wasnt working or riding, he often spent time fishing and camping. He is survived by his fianc, Crystal Anne Thompson, his sons, his grandchildren, and his parents. Everyone often described him as the life of the party, loving to stir the pot with his jokes, and lifting everyone up. He never met a stranger. He was a hard worker and would never miss a chance to give back to the community. He was a beloved dad, and even more beloved grandfather. The family has been overwhelmed by the love expressed by his friends and fellow riders. A celebration of his life will be held at Meadowmere Park Pavilion on the shores of Grapevine Lake on Saturday April 8th from 1:30 to 3:00 PM. SERVICES Family Gathering
