MARJORIE VIGEN, age 85, a resident of Irving for 48 years, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Medical Center of Plano. Born December 19, 1928 in McAlester, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of George Mace and Gussie Cope Mace. On July 25, 1953, Marjorie married Melvin Edward Vigen in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church in Irving. Preceded in death by her daughter, Dianna Vigen in 2003, she is survived by her husband Melvin; daughters, Julie Vigen, Laura Price and husband Jeff, and Linda Arthur and husband Tom; sons, Mark Vigen, David Vigen and Gary Vigen and wife Glenda; fifteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and brother Donald Mace. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. prior to the Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, March 13 at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church, 2323 Cheyenne in Irving with Rev. Albert Becher presiding. Interment service 2:15 p.m., Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane B.
