MARIE WISE, age 89, a resident of Irving for 62 years, died Monday, April 7, 2014 at an Irving care center. Born July 24, 1924 in Grannis, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Houston Story and Dorothy Jones Story. Marie was a member of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Delbert Wise in 1991 and son, Donald Wise in 2002. Survivors include her daughters, Genevia Guthrie of Fairfield, Linda Schmit and husband Jim of Missouri, Vonda Mitchell and husband Ted of Irving, Kea MacPherson and husband Rick of Oklahoma; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Graveside service is 3:30 p.m., Friday, April 11 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving with Chaplain Darren Harlan officiating.
