MARIA TAVAREZ, age 76, a resident of Irving, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center at Irving. She was born October 14, 1935 in the Dominican Republic to Baudilio Santana and Maria S. Mantilla Santana. Preceded in death by her husband Elson Tavarez, she is survived by her sons, Baudilio Tavarez and wife Isis Martinez of Irving and Franklin Tavarez of the Dominican Republic; daughters, Luisa Tavarez of the Dominican Republic, Elsa Martinez and husband Cecilio, Brenda Tavarez and husband Jose, all of Irving; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Angel Santana, Joselo Santana, Rene Santana, Bertico Santana and Jose Antonio Santana; sisters, Tiola Santana, Nelly Santana and Camelia Santana. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, with the Rosary to be said at 7:30 p.m. Graveside service is 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 30 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving with Rev. Msgr. Jerome Duesman officiating.
