Maria Lazcano-Ruiz, a beloved sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, in Irving, Texas, at the remarkable age of 104.

Born on January 1, 1921, in Durango, Mexico, to Sixta Ruiz and Porfirio Lazcano, Maria was known for her unwavering strength and quiet wisdom, offering love and support to generations of relatives who were blessed to know her.

Maria is survived by her sister, Laurencia Lazcano; her brother, Ramon Lazcano; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Antonio Lazcano; and sisters, Concepcion Lazcano and Feliciana Lazcano.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, located at 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062. A graveside service will follow at Oak Wood Cemetery, 701 Grand Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76164

Maria will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
