Margaret Jean Coffey, 90, a long-time resident of Irving, died Friday, September 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Born August 20, 1932 in Lancaster, Texas, she was the daughter of the late James E. Brownlee and Johnnie Lee Turner Brownlee. She married William E. "Bill" Coffey, Sr. February 24, 1950 in Lancaster, Texas. She was a retired administrative officer with a Federal Home Loan Bank. She was a member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church Irving and regularly attended First Baptist, Crawford in recent years. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband July 30, 2016, she is survived by three daughters, Debra Kay Hoy and husband Bill of Crawford, Laura Lea Seiter and husband Kirk of Grand Prairie, and Lou Ann Anders and husband Mark of Arlington; a son, William Earle Coffey, Jr. and wife Marti of Pagosa Springs, CO; eleven grandchildren, Carolyn Elizabeth Hoy Streett and husband Matt, Greg Hoy, D. J. Seiter, Timothy Seiter, Jeremy Seiter and wife Abby, Matthew Seiter, Wade Anders and wife Laura, Hailey Anders Galvan and husband Blas, William Earle Coffey, III, Cody Coffey, and Melody Coffey; eleven great grandchildren; and two nieces, Barbara Bese and Betsy Sternberg. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2022 at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, 606 West Airport Freeway 75062. The funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Dr. William G. "Bill" Hoy and Rev. Ben Faus will officiate. Burial will be at Ferris Memorial Park North in Ferris, Texas.
