Makengo Veron
Mwalumba
Jan 26, 1965 — Jul 10, 2025
Born on January 26, 1965, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Veron Mwalumba Makengo Baluta was the firstborn of a large and loving family. He was the cherished son of Mwalumba Baluta Maliba Gaston and Alphoncine Mwaebala, and from the beginning, he carried the weight of leadership and love for his many siblings with grace and strength.
From his early days in M'vuazi and Kinzambi to his technical and veterinary studies in Kisantu and Nsele, his thirst for knowledge took him across continents. He continued his education in the United States at Cal State Hayward and UT Arlington, always pushing forward, always learning. His professional journey was as diverse as it was impactful-serving in roles as a paralegal, in import/export, and with ABM-yet in every role, he carried integrity, dedication, and wisdom.
As a husband and father, he built his home on love, faith, and service. His greatest joy was his family, and he led them with courage.
In 1995, he was baptized at the Baptist Church of Irving, marking the beginning of an active relationship with the church. He served faithfully, becoming a pillar of strength and encouragement to many. His heart was filled with generosity toward his friends and community.
Beyond his family and church, Veron Mwalumba left a lasting mark on the Congolese community. As an elder, he helped shape its early vision, advocating for unity, progress, and support for the generations to come. His heart beat for his homeland—he was a passionate voice for the Congolese people, a man with a vision for a better future, and a relentless hope for justice and peace.
We thank God for the gift of his life. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the prayers he lifted, and the love he gave so freely.
