Obituary

Magdaline Crawford, born July 1, 1955, to Nancy and Lessie Ingle, passed away on January 14, 2026 and is now with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, older sister Catherine Spurling and twin brother Dan Ingle.

She is loved and survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry Crawford, daughter Sandi Reynolds (William), grandson Jonathan Reynolds, granddaughter Kaitlyn Norrell (Austin), sister Bernice Barber (Steve), sister Cookie Baker, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, along with many lifelong friends.

Magdaline, also affectionately known as "Marty" met her soon to be husband Jerry Crawford in Alabama in the early 1970's and after their courtship got married on July 2, 1973. Their only child, a daughter (Sandi) was born the following year in May of 1974. Marty and Jerry were happily married for over 52 years. They moved to Texas in 1982 and began to build wonderful lasting relationships with neighbors in Irving, TX. She had a passion and talent to sew, knit and crochet - making stunning quilts, blankets, dresses, hats & scarves. Even winning contests with her quilt designs. When a new baby was born, to a family member, she would make them a baby quilt. She loved and was also very patient to help teach her craft to her friends and loved ones. She loved our Lord and would pray with a reminder that "God is good and God is great"… She also loved to spoil her grandchildren, taking on the name "Nana" when her grandson Jonathan was born in 1997, and her granddaughter Kaitlyn was born in 2000. Nana would make homemade pancakes with whipped cream smiley faces "just for her grandbabies" and she would make her very own world famous cornbread dressing every Thanksgiving & Christmas, and not to mention her fabulous tomato gravy. She was such a selfless person. Always thinking of others. Her family and friends were so very blessed to have her in our lives. She will be greatly missed, we will continue to have wonderful memories of her in our lives.
