LYNN HONEA, age 83, a resident of Irving for 67 years, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at a Lewisville care center. Born March 23, 1932 in Fort Worth Texas, she grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma. She attended the University of Texas and graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in psychology. She married Maurice Honea July 29, 1967 in Irving. He preceded her in death October 19, 2013. Preceded in death also by her mother and father, Audrey and Paul Talley, she is survived by her three sons, Tommy Herring and wife Velma of Irving, John Herring of Hickory Creek, and Jim Herring of Dallas; a granddaughter Emylee Herring; a sister Molly Turner of Lewisville; and brother Bill Talley of Colorado. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving.
