Lyda F. McAlister, 85, formerly of Irving, died in Little Rock, Arkansas on Tuesday, August 22. Lyda was born on November 23, 1931 in Mingus, Texas to Bert Louis and Viola (Aaron) Viean. She married Charles Wayne McAlister in Strawn, Texas on November 2, 1952. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2006. She is survived by her son Tim McAlister and wife DeAnna of Alexander, Arkansas, grandchildren: Jeremy McAlister and wife Jessica of Little Rock, Amy Parnell and husband Jason of Bryant, Arkansas, and Callie Glenn and husband Richard of Nashville, Tennessee; also, eight great-grandchildren. Lyda is a member of Belt Line Church of Christ in Irving. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. with funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Belt Line Church of Christ, 1202 N.
