Loye Helen Harvey, a longtime resident of Irving, Texas, went to her heavenly home on September 5, 2013. She had resided in the Avalon Alzheimers Care Center in Irving the last seven years of her life. She was born in Texarkana, Texas on March 7, 1924. She is survived by her sister, Rubye Raymer; daughter, Dianne Harvey Duck and husband, Lloyd Duck; and numerous generations of family members. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Melvin P. Harvey; her parents, Joseph and Nancy Burden; sister, Cleo Harvey, and niece, Donna Raymer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 6 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The service is 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7 in the funeral home chapel. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
