LOUISE "LOU" TALIA, age 75, a resident of Irving for 24 years, formerly of Euless, died Friday, November 29, 2013 at Baylor Medical Center at Irving. Born May 9, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Edward Pecikonis and Evelyn Cavala Pecikonis. Lou was a homemaker and a member of a non-denominational church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Talia in 1988. Survivors include her children, Angela McDorman of Hurst, Edward Talia of Hurst, Anna Cunningham of Arlington, Nicholas Talia of Irving, Lenore Prachick of Illinois, Mary Talia of Arkansas and Brandon Talia of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Martin Pecikonis of Texas, Mary Leverock of New York, Teresa Walker of Irving, Edward Pecikonis of Texas and Jeanette Callejas of Irving. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday and Tuesday at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Graveside service is 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 4 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving.
