LOU RENE STRANGE, age 91, a resident of Irving for 46 years, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at an Irving care center. Born July 11, 1920 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Carl and Jewell Bowen Dagnell, Lou Rene was a former teacher in the Irving ISD. She was a member of the A.D.K. Teachers Sorority and a member of First Baptist Church of Irving. Preceded in death by her husband, Doyal R. Strange in 2007, she is survived by her son, Carl Strange and wife Karen of Tyler; daughter, Jan Lively and husband Rick of Dallas; grandchildren, Anna, Warren, Ross and Rebecca. Service is 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 16 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment service 12:30 p.m., Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
