LORRAINE D. ROWLAND, age 81, a resident of Irving for 44 years, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at a Dallas hospital. Born September 22, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of John and Millie Miller Brown. On November 8, 1952 she married Robert A Rowland in Wharton Texas. Lorraine was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church in Irving. A very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Bob; daughters Vicki Stevens of Kaufman and Robin Welch of Irving; grandchildren Daniel Welch of Irving and Deborah Kelley of Denton; sister Pauline Epler of Omaha, Nebraska; brother John W. Brown and wife Terry of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Visitation will be 6:00~8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 with the vigil for the deceased at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011 at St. Lukes Catholic Church, Father Leonardo Rocha, C.S., celebrant. Burial will be 1:00 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
