Lois Joy McClelland, 94, an Irving resident for 10 years, died on January 16, 2018 at a local nursing home. She was born on October 2, 1923 in Houston, Texas to Andrew and Trulah (Smith) Farmer. Lois is survived by three children: Ronald H. McClelland and wife Brenda of Greenwood, Arkansas, Gary McClelland and wife Mary of Irving, daughter, Deborah Harrell of Tomball, Texas; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. Lois enjoyed cooking and baking especially at holidays, sewing, and volunteering many hours at the Cathedral in the Pines in Beaumont, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pleasant Hills Children's Home, 292 East US Hwy 84, Fairfield, Texas 75840.
