LINDA WEMPA, age 69, of Irving, Texas, born June 15, 1942, went to be with our Lord on the morning of April 7, 2012, after a very recent diagnosis of metastatic ovarian cancer. She was a true companion to her beloved husband, Bob, and they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this July. Linda will also be truly missed by her son, Brian, his wife Carolyn and their sons, Brock and Bryce; her son, Brad; her son, Jeff and his son, Jakob; her daughter, Tracie Hilst and her husband Kevin, and their daughter, Langston; her 103 year old mother-in-law, Helen; her sisters, Nancy and Michele. Linda was a spunky woman in constant motion and loved tending to her yard and pool. She was full of life and never met a stranger. Linda would want to be remembered for her big smile, her easy laugh, her savvy shopping, her sense of style, and her true compassion for others. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Service is 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 11 at the funeral home chapel. Entombment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
