Obituary

Linda Rowe entered this world on October 24, 1940 and departed this world on June 28, 2023 following a long health battle. Both events occurred in Dallas, Texas. She lived the first few years of her life in Lancaster, Texas. Then the family moved to Santa Ana, California with Lindas maternal grandparents. They all accumulated fond memories while living there and enjoyed reminiscing about their time in California. Sometime after 1948, the family moved back to Lancaster where Linda attended elementary school, middle school, and graduated from Lancaster High School. Linda majored in Elementary Education at The University of North Texas where she met Jimmy Rowe. They married in 1961 and settled in Irving, Texas. Their union produced two children. Linda joined the First Baptist Church in Irving, Texas circa 1961 where she volunteered her time as a choir member and a teacher. In addition, she enjoyed many hobbies such as interior decorating, gardening, singing, arts and crafts, photography, and playing the piano. Most of all, she enjoyed visiting with family members and interacting with cats several of her own and the many she fostered for the Irving Animal Shelter. Linda leaves behind one sister, two children and their spouses, two grandchildren and their spouses, and four great-grandchildren. Lindas parents and one sister preceded her in death. Linda made a significant and positive impact on family and friends.
