LILLIE V. EYSTER, age 85, a resident of Irving since 1969, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at an Irving nursing center. Born June 19, 1927 in Sunnyvale, Pennsylvania to Curtis A. Shaffer and Ellen Raker Shaffer, she was a member of the Methodist faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Henry Eyster and sons, Archie and Lennie Eyster, Lillie is survived by her son, Wayne Eyster and wife Lynda of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Lisa Gilliam and husband Robert of Dallas, Janette Eyster and partner Rick Rosas of Justin and Jeremy Eyster of Irving; great grandchildren, Shelby Holland, Haylie Holland and Sadie Eyster; sister, Georgetta Hollenbauch; and brother, Ernest Shaffer. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Service is 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28 in the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
