LILA FARMER, age 78, a resident of Farmers Branch for 21 years, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Heart Hospital Baylor in Plano. Born November 30, 1936 in Paris, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Paul Shirley and Hazel Weaver Shirley. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, and husband James Harvey Farmer in 1996. Survivors include her sons, Michael Farmer and wife Kalley of Wylie, and Alan Farmer and wife Leilah of Anna; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Fowler of Denton and Ruth Summers of Grapevine; brothers, John Shirley of Plano and Dr. Phil Shirley of Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 23 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Funeral service is 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless.
