LESLIE SHAW, age 73, a resident of Dallas, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at home. Born in Dallas on September 16, 1937, he was the son of Truxton Lee Shaw and Hazel Hanson Shaw. On January 19, 1963, he married Nita Vaughan. A member of First Baptist Church of Dallas for 40 years, he was a member of the Sanctuary Choir for 22 years. After 35 years as an accountant for Hunt Oil Company, Leslie retired in 2004. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Nita Shaw; son, Steven Shaw and wife Jamie; son, Cary Shaw; granddaughter, Whitney Shaw; grandson, Austin Shaw; and brother, Kenneth Shaw. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11 at the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Truett Chapel with Dr. Robert Jeffress officiating. Prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 a.m., the family will receive friends. Burial to follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Serving as pallbearers are: Carl Akins, Jimmy Bryan, Ted Downing, Ted Duval, Dudley Farmer, David Jones, Bill Lacy and Vandy Tidrow. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choosing.
