Lauren Slater, age 47, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Dallas, TX. She was born November 22, 1963 in Park Ridge, IL to James Ehnborn and Marilynn Kornatz Ehnborn. After living in McKinney, TX she moved to Frisco in 2002. Lauren married Luther Slater, Jr. on January 13, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of McKinney. She and Luther are members of the First Baptist Church of Dallas where they have been surrounded and supported by the body of Christ. Lauren is survived by her husband; daughter Allison Bray of Dallas, TX; son Dalton Bray also of Dallas; her parents; sister Karen Ehnborn of Vancouver, WA and sister Susan Smith and her husband, Scott of Renton, WA; Uncle Herman Kornatz and his wife, Carolyn of Sydney, British Columbia; Aunt Jean Kornatz of Arlington Heights, IL and cousin Keith Kornatz of Rockford, IL. The funeral service will be held at 11 oclock a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 in Truett Chapel at the First Baptist Church of Dallas located at 1707 San Jacinto, Dallas, TX 75201. A time of visitation will precede the funeral from 10 until 11 oclock a.m. in Truett Chapel. Burial will follow the funeral ceremony at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Association for Cancer Research. Lauren will be fondly remembered as a caring wife, loving mother and daughter, and a beautiful sister who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
