Laura Lou Black-Neal, previously of Irving, Texas passed from this life on November 16, 2016 at her home in Willis, Texas shortly before her 85th birthday. Born on November 27, 1931 in Leonard, Texas to Elbert and Dimple (Mead) Jones. Lou was baptized into Christ in 1972 and attended the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Dimple Jones. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas John Black, known better as "Tommy" or "Tommy John". She met Tommy at a Whites Automotive Store where they both worked. They were married In February of 1958 in Dallas, Texas. They were married for 35 years before Tommy passed away in September 1993 from heart-related issues. Survivors include her husband of 17 years Dennis Neal, whom she married in May of 1999; three children born to her and Tommy: son, Tim Black of Dallas, daughters, Lauren Black of Irving and Lanece Hayes and husband Mike of Yukon, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Carolyn Coffee and husband Roy of New Braunfels, Athena Reyes, Bradley Hayes and wife Bailey, Aubrea Gonzalez and husband Wesley of Van Alstyne, Brook Hayes of Canyon, Bryce Hayes of Yukon, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Amber Coffee and Chloe Hayes of Yukon; many friends and extended church family. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17th from 3:00 5:00 p.m. at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel.
