Kenneth Wayne Halcomb, age 81, passed away January 17, 2024. He was born to Nettie (Gilbert) and Almond McKinley Halcomb on January 13, 1943 in LaCross Wisconsin. His family moved to Dallas, Texas shortly after where Kenneth was raised. He attended South Oak Cliff High School, graduating in 1960. In 1966 Kenneth volunteered to serve in the Air Force, achieving the rank of Sergeant 4E and honorably discharged in 1971. After faithfully serving his country he returned to Texas where he worked a fulltime job while obtaining his Bachelors degree from UTA. Kenneth was employed by CA (computer associates) where he worked for 30 years, retiring in 2014. He enjoyed Country music, horse racing, fantasy football and reading a good book on American history. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and two younger brothers, Ronald Lynn and Randy Jeff. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Linda; sister, A.J. Cotton and her husband Dale; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Saturday January 20th, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Oak Grove Memorial Garden in Irving SERVICES
