Kenneth E. Gay, 86, of Royse City, died on January 16, 2018. Kenneth was born on August 9, 1931 in Merkel, Texas to William Earl and Lottie Viola (Gentry) Gay. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elaine Gay in 2001; brothers James, Billy Joe, and Alfred; son, Terry Gay, and grandson, Chucky. Survivors include: son, Gene Gay and Wife Angela of Josephine, daughters, Brenda Garrison and husband Billy of Royse City and Lisa Dianne Sikes and husband Mike of Fulton, TX; daughter-in-law, Cindy Gay; 10 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Johnny Gay of White House, Texas, and sister Lottie Fay Gay of Rowlett; and long-time lady friend, Lenore Welch. Kenneth was a faithful Christian who walked through this life with our Lord by his side. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed. The family received friends on Saturday, January 20th from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062. Funeral service was held in the funeral home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Mike Gay officiated. Burial was at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas 75060.
