Obituary

Kenneth James Frisbie went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 11, 2017, peacefully at home, surrounded by family. He was preceded by his parents Col. Norman Horace Frisbie and Mildred Burns Frisbie. Ken was born in Tokyo, Japan where his father was stationed with the US Air Force. Their adventurous military life would take the Frisbie Clan through Okinawa, Northern Virginia, Illinois and Florida. After playing football at West Point Military Academy, Ken later earned a business degree from Long Beach State University, where he worked construction and developed many lifelong friendships. After Ken married the love of his life, Andriette Gustin, the two started a family in Southern California, where their first two children were born, Ken Jr. and Marissa. They grew by one more in Anchorage, Alaska where Milli was born. Ultimately they settled in Dallas where Tyler became the lone Native Texan of the family. Always known to swing for the fences, Ken built a thriving enterprise investing in real estate, oil and gas. He received the greatest joy, however, investing in Gods Kingdom. Ken and Andi have been faithful servants to several ministries, impacting both their local community and the developing world abroad. Ken felt called to serve on the Boards of Trinity Christian Academy, The Urban Alternative, and RREACH International, to name a few. He also served countless individuals and their families along the way as he refused to look past someone in need. Despite all that he gave of himself to noteworthy causes, he never reduced what he poured into his family. They are his greatest legacy and will miss his unconditional love, deep wisdom and hearty laughter. Ken is survived by his wife, Andriette; his son Ken Jr. and wife Clare Harding of Dallas, TX; daughter Marissa and husband Chris Montgomery of Dallas, TX; his daughter Millianne and husband Kris Olson of Seattle, WA; his son Tyler and wife Heather Schwartz of McKinney, TX; and eight grandchildren: Rylee, Waverly, Lucy Kate, Kyle, Jay, Jack, Noe and Bennett. His four siblings and their families extend from California to Montana, Minnesota and Maine. The family will receive friends at a memorial service at Irving Bible Church, 2435 Kinwest Parkway #100, Irving, TX 75063 at 11:00am on January 19, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Southern Bible Institute & College Seek Partners International, Inc. SERVICES
