KENNETH O. FESSENDEN, age 84, a resident of Irving since 1957, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at an Irving hospital. He was born April 8, 1927 in Burbank, Oklahoma to parents, Lloyd O. and Orpah Mae Muhr Fessenden. On February 20, 1949 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, he married Betty Bowersock. Kenneth was an aeronautical engineer at LTV in Grand Prairie for over 30 years. He was a member of Irving North Christian Church for 49 years, a member of the singing barbershop group, Good Times Chorus, and a lifetime member of the American Legion. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Betty of Irving; son, Mark Fessenden and wife Vicky of Grapevine; daughter, Lea Ann Fessenden-Joseph and husband Johnny of St. Lucia, West Indies; brother, Wayne Fessenden and wife Tula of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; as well as many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral service is 12:00 noon, Monday, December 12 at Irving North Christian Church, 2901 North MacArthur Blvd. with Pastor Chris Carathers officiating.
