Kenneth Brian Bramlett (19612023)
Ken Bramlett was born on July 19, 1961, the third of four children to Jessie and Bonnie Bramlett, in Fort Payne, Alabama. He passed away peacefully at the age of 62 on September 14, 2023 in Irving, Texas. Throughout his life, Ken was known for his wit, humor and abundant generosity.
Ken graduated from Irving High School in 1979 and had a long and successful career as an alarm technician for ADT, from 1979 to 2019, where he worked passionately as a union representative for his colleagues.
He married Judy Buchanan with whom he raised a loving family as a devoted father and grandfather. Ken had a passion for good music, physical activity and sports. He enjoyed playing softball and was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and University of Alabama football teams.
Our fondest memories with Ken include his many travels with Judy, including trips to Scotland, San Francisco and Costa Rica; helping daughters Charissa and Jessica with school projects; surprise pets; and innumerable games and laughter with his granddaughters. We will always remember Friday morning biscuits, chocolate milk to help his girls go to sleep and his special "awful" waffles.
Ken is survived by his wife of 40 years Judy Buchanan Bramlett, daughters and sons-in-law Charissa and Justin Stewart and Jessica and Davis Bell; granddaughters Lily and Maggie Bell and Eleanor Stewart; Mother Bonnie Bramlett; brothers LaBron, Marvin and Micah Bramlett; and many more nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Ken's father, Jessie Bramlett, preceded him in death.
A private ceremony to celebrate Kens life will be held at a later date allowing family and close friends to pay their respects and honor his memory.
