Kathy A. Leach, age 55, a resident of Irving for 25 years, died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Born September 16, 1955 at Elgin, Illinois, she was the daughter of James McCafferty and Mary Owens McCafferty. She moved to Irving from Carpentersville, Illinois. She married Barry W. Leach June 12, 1977 in Irving. A homemaker, she was a proud stay at home Nanny and wouldn't have it any other way. Survivors include her husband Barry W. Leach of Irving; daughters LeAnna Fox and husband Brandon of Euless, Jenny Russell and husband Martin of Keller and Sarah Burey and husband Charles of Grapevine; a son B. J. Leach and wife Michelle of Grapevine; five grandchildren, Hannah Fox, Brady Fox, Rylee Russell, Reid Russell and baby Leach; brothers Robert, William, Dennis and Daniel McCafferty; sister, Patti Blau and husband James of McHenry, Illinois; mother-in-law, Ruby Joyce Leach. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers James and John McCafferty; and her father-in-law, James Leach. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Stephen Shelton will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
