K. E. Culpepper, 82, of Irving, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at his home. He was born on December 10, 1934 in Scottsboro, Alabama to Floyd L. and Burmah Estelle (Overton) Culpepper. He married Shirley Ann Smiley on September 16, 1955 in Athens, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Leon and J. B. Culpepper. Survivors include: wife, Shirley Culpepper of the home; four children: Gary Culpepper and wife Kathy of Irving, Gwyn Culpepper and wife Sonya of Fort Worth, Greta Holt and husband Keith of Rio Vista, Greg Culpepper and wife Christy of Irving; nine grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; and sister, Betty Norwood and husband Billy of Malakoff, Texas. He was a member of Northgate Baptist Church. He retired from GTE where he had been a supervisor for 32 years. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 17th from 2:00 4:00 p.m. at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18th in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Brian Hale will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas 75060. SERVICES
