JULIO MALDONADO, SR., age 59, a resident of Irving since 1988, died August 28, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center at Irving. Born July 23, 1953 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, to Francisco Maldonado and Nelida Torres, he married Gloria Figueroa on May 25, 1974. He was of the Catholic faith and was employed at Sheraton Hotel in Irving for 23 years. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Figueroa; daughter, Glory Carrasquillo and husband Erik; son, Julio Maldonado, Jr.; grandchildren, Suheylee, Exive, Anissa and Celest. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, at the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
