Julia Contreras Enriquez passed away at the age of 88 years old on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 10, 1932 in Mier Y Noriega, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and is preceded in death by her mother Maria Dolores Contreras Trejo in 1996, her husband Juan (John) O. Enriquez in 2005, her son David C. Enriquez in 1999, and her brothers, Celestino Cisneros Contreras and Roberto Contreras Contreras. She is survived by her daughter Anna Maria Enriquez, five grandchildren, John David and Michael Anthony Enriquez, Juliana, Alexander, and Clarissa Smith. She also had 6 great grandchildren, John David Jr., Jayden, Daniel, Gabriel, Sean Zachary, and Isabella, as well as two sisters Cipriana (Margarita) Contreras and Rita Contreras. Julia was a dedicated employee and worked alongside her husband John as his Sous Chef at Preston Towers and Canyon Creek Country Club until her retirement. She was a humble woman always willing to let her husband and their kids take center stage and remained a faithful servant of the Lord until the end . Her family wishes to thank everyone for the kind words, visits and support during her last few weeks. Special thanks to her niece Ruth Angelica Contreras Vazquez for her love, care and dedication. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas. A special evening service will occur at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home.
