Judy Baker Odom, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Thursday April 11, 2024, in Irving, Tx. She was born on Friday January 31, 1947, in Dallas, Tx to Henry and Erma Lee Baker. She is preceded in death by her parents, stillborn daughter, Jennifer LeAnne, 3 angel grandchildren and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John David Odom; daughter, Sandy Hall and husband Mike; daughter, Dana Wright and husband Kyle; Grandsons, Charlie Hall, 13, and Jaxon Wright, 7; Aunts, Rosemary Baker and Cloe Baker; Sisters in law and brothers in law, David and Judy Treat, and Mike and Donna Humphries. Nephew, Cary Humphries and wife Ronda, niece, Dawn Cole and husband Kerry, niece, Michelle Hobson and husband Kevin, nephew, Chris Treat and wife Darlene, and numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. She graduated from Irving High school and attended some college. She worked with her dad and uncles at Baker Brothers cleaners. She married David on New year's eve 1970. Judy was a homemaker. She was involved in numerous church activities along with her husband at South Delaware church of Christ and then at south Macarthur church of Christ. She later attended Beltline road church of Christ where she attended until her death. She had many close friends at church. She taught her children a wonderful example of a Christian wife and mom. She was an only child who delighted in having more than 1 child. She loved her 2 daughters well and adding 2 sons and 2 grandsons to the family was a great joy to her! Funeral services for Judy Baker Odom, of Irving, will be Saturday, 11:00 AM, April 20, 2024 at the Belt Line Rd Church of Christ, Irving, TX. Friends and family may visit, Friday, April 19th, from 5:30 pm till 7:30 pm at the Colonial Funeral Home of Irving. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Memorial Paik in Irving.
