Obituary

Juliet "Judy or Dee" Hill was born on July 15, 1938, in Springfield, Illinois. She lost her valiant fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia on August 7, 2018, in Dallas, Texas. She met her Savior while surrounded by family and friends. She spent her youth going to school in Pawnee, Illinois. She enjoyed cheerleading, choir, dancing and going to the local drug store after school or after games; worked at Panhandle Gas, then Bradley University Admissions, followed by 5 and a half years as an Air Force officers wife. Three great kids were born during those years; then 31 years as an American Airline pilots wife; 21 years of retirement; and many great cruises and trips to many states and foreign countries. She did volunteer work at Our Redeemer, helping with Vacation Bible School, choir, Tuesday Bible study, ESL, bereavement meals, altar guild, sandwich ministry and the lunch bunch. She doted on her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She loved to shop for each of them. All holidays were festive, especially Christmas and Easter. She loved and was deeply loved in return. Most of all, she loved the Lord as He loved her when she joined Him in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Julia Underwood, her brothers, AE "Doc" and Everett "J.R.". Survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Roger Hill; brother Norman Underwood; children, Melanie Johnson (Randy) Miller, Mark (Tammy) Hill, and Michael (Lisa) Hill; Grandchildren, Julio (Katy) Polanco, Josh (Carmen) Miller, Jordan Miller, Ashley (Aaron) Metts, Matthew Miller, Andrew Hill, Austin (Melanie) Hill, Kelsey Johnson, Shelby Johnson, Bethany Johnson, and Christian Hill; Great-grandchildren, Lilly Polanco, Asher Miller, and Luke Miller; Also there are many nieces, nephews, and cousins who grieve her loss.
