Joyce Whitton, 79, a resident of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area most of her life, died Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Vitas In-patient Unit of Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Carrollton, Texas. Born July 13, 1941 in Emmett, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Carl OSteen and Etta Samuels OSteen. Joyce was a teacher in local day care centers. She was the widow of Robert (Bob) Whitton and was a member of MacArthur Blvd. Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers,; a son Christopher Lee Whitton; and her husband, Robert (Bob) Whitton, she is survived by a sister Bonnie Cole of Coppell; grandchildren, Starlyn Eaton and Terra Rohde; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service is planned for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at MacArthur Blvd. Baptist Church, 8001 Mustang Drive, Irving, Texas 75063. SERVICES
