JOYCE GRAY, age 74, a resident of Irving for fifty-five years, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born August 7, 1937 in Caddo Mills, Texas, she was the daughter of Edward and Delaine Smith. She retired from Ranger-American Security in the human resources and accounting department. She was a member of the Church of God. Preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, two brothers, and a grandson, Ronnie Spencer, she is survived by her children, Danny Gray and fiance Tracey of New York, Renee Birdwell and husband Gene of Wylie, Texas, Donny Gray and wife Kim of Gainesville, Texas, and Devon Crenshaw and husband Willie of Elmo, Texas; a brother Harold Smith of Eustace, Texas; nine grandchildren, Sessily, Jessica, Brittany and husband SFC Trip Mease, currently serving in Afghanistan, Katie, Kirsten, Alisha, Tommy, and Shelby; six great grandchildren Kain, Lilah, Graysen, Logan, Ronnie Joe, and Jayden; the father of her children Bobby Ray Gray and his wife Alethea Gray of Mt. Vernon. The family will receive friends 3:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. A reception will follow the service at the Elks Lodge 2015 N. Britain Road in Irving.
