JOYCE LYNN ALEXANDER, 70, a resident of Decatur, formerly of Garland and Irving, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. Born July 30, 1943 in Collin County, she was the daughter of Willie Thomas Kimberlin and Laura Lee Smith Kimberlin. She married Oscar Lee Alexander August 23, 1958 in Irving, Texas. They moved to Decatur in 2006. She was a member of the Assembly of God church. Preceded in death by her husband Oscar on November 3, 2013, survivors include her son, Rodney and daughter, Lori, both of Decatur; granddaughter, Amanda Warren and husband Steven of Saginaw; grandson, Kyle Alexander and wife Marci of Rowlett; great grandson, Elijah Taylor Alexander; brother, Jack Kimberlin and wife Debra of Woodland, Washington; sister, Charlene McClure of Irving; and sister-in-law, Patti Spielmaker of Bastrop, Texas. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
