JOO HYO HWANG, age 89, a resident of Irving for 30 years, died Monday, February 17, 2014 at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas. Born August 27, 1924 in Korea, he was an Elder at Korean Central United Methodist Church in Irving. Survivors include his wife Jung Hwang of Irving; sons, Chul Hyun Hwang of Lewisville and Jual Su Hwang of Los Angeles, California; daughter, Hae Suk Cho of Irving and Jane Kim of Connecticut; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A visitation will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Korean Central United Methodist Church, 3800 Carbon Road in Irving, 75060. Service is 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 19 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving with Sung Chul Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Five Mile Cemetery in Dallas. Memorial contributions may be made to Korean Central United Methodist Church.
