Johnny Lee Welborn, a cherished family man, devout Christian, and respected business owner, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, at the age of 81 in Carrolton, Texas. Born on March 1, 1943, in Durant, Oklahoma, to Johnnie and Naomi Welborn. Johnny's life was one marked by dedication, service, and an unwavering love for his family and God.

Johnny was the proud father of three sons: Chad, Steve, and Ronald "Craig" Welborn Sr. (wife- Katrina Welborn), whom he raised with his beloved wife of 53 years, Ola Jean Cooper. His legacy extends to his grandchildren, Krista, Jonathan, Tasia, Jennifer, Ronald Jr., Josh Welborn and Bryan Ledbetter Sr., along with his great-grandchildren, Bryan Ledbetter Jr., Ella Harper, Renessmae Robins, and Kaci-Lee Marie. He was a loving brother to his sisters, Twila Work, Delphine Draper and Margie James, who will remember him fondly for his warmth and guidance.

Johnny served his country as an Army veteran before embarking on a successful entrepreneurial journey as the owner of Johnny's Fina & U-Haul. His work ethic and commitment to his community were evident in his daily interactions and the lasting relationships he built through his business.

A man of deep faith, Johnny was a devout Christian who found great joy in the teachings of Jimmy Swaggart and dedicated much of his life to living by Christian principles. He was a beacon of love and faith, often sharing his belief in God's grace with those around him. Described by those who knew him best as loving and faith-filled, Johnny's presence was a source of comfort and inspiration. Johnny's interests were a reflection of his heart: family and God. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, whether it was a quiet evening at home or a spirited family gathering. His life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of faith.
